Mr. Lewis' practice is focused on assisting clients on family law matters (divorce, adoption, paternity, custody, property division, and modification), probate adminstration, estate planning, guardianship and/or conservatorship for adults and minors, real estate, traffic violations, including DWI, and landlord/tenant disputes.
He has over 40 years of experience helping clients resolve their legal problems. Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Lewis worked as a Public Defender in Clay County and served as the City Prosecutor for the City of Kearney, Missouri. He has been in private practice since 1981. He is a graduate of North Kansas City High School, and Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE.
Mr. Lewis earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
He is a member of the Missouri Bar, Clay County Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, North Kansas City Kiwanis, North Kansas City Business Council, Kansas City Club, American Hereford Association, Missouri Cattlemen's Association, Delta Theta Phi Alumni, and the Volunteer Attorney Project.
Mr. Lewis lives near Kearney, Missouri where he raises Polled Herefords which he shows with his grandchildren at the American Royal, Missouri State Fair and the Junior National Hereford Show.
He enjoys hunting, fishing and floating down the Niangua River every summer.
